Do I need to inform Companies House if a shareholder changes address?

One of our shareholders has changed his address. Is this something I need to tell Companies House about, or will they find out in due course? Thanks in advance, appreciate the help.

No, you do not need to tell Companies House when a shareholder's address changes.

The only shareholders who require providing any address details for Companies House are those who join the company during the incorporation process - i.e. the ‘subscribers’ who add their names to the memorandum of association - but you not need to inform Companies House if these details change, nor do you have to provide an address for any shareholder who joins the company after incorporation.

You should, however, update any such change of details in your company's statutory register of members.
