Do I need a company secretary for my dormant company?

I’m plotting to set up a dormant company and I need to know something about secretaries. Do dormant companies need to have one? I know limited companies that are active don’t, but it’s advised that you have one. Didn’t know if the same guidelines applies for dormant companies. Thank you

There is no need to appoint a company secretary, regardless of whether your company is active or dormant, unless you want one to help you with your director’s duties. It’s entirely up to you but I would not imagine you would need much help with your responsibilities whilst your company is inactive.
