Can a dormant company have employees?

0

Hi, I own a limited company that I would like to switch from active to dormant. I currently employ three people. Could I switch my company to dormant without letting these people go? Basically, I would like to keep them registered as employees, but have my company not be trading. Is this possible?

You cannot retain any employees if you wish to make your company dormant - their wages would be considered significant accounting transactions which would have to be entered in your company’s account records. Dormant companies are not permitted to have any significant accounting transactions during an accounting period.
