Can I put money into a non-trading company?

I would like to launch a non-trading company in Scotland. I don’t want it to do business, but I would like to put money into it. Will I get in trouble for doing that, or is it okay?

Thanks a million!

You can place money in the business bank account of your non-trading limited company but you will have to enter these transactions in your company’s accounting records. If you withdraw any money, you will have to keep a record of each transaction in a director’s loan account.

All of these credits (and debits, if applicable) must be reported by filing annual accounts at Companies House.
