Is there a difference between a dissolved company and a "wound up" company?

Hola, I’ve been advised by a business mentor to dissolve my company. I asked an accountant, and he was talking about winding up my company. Do these two phrases mean the same thing, or are they different somehow? Gracias

The terms ‘dissolving a company’ and ‘winding up a company’ are often used interchangeably because they both mean that a company has been closed; therefore, it no longer exists. The public register with state ‘dissolved’ beside the name of any company that has been officially closed down.
