Do dissolved companies have to pay taxes?

Hey, so I am thinking about dissolving my company in the coming months and moving on to another venture. If I do this, will my old limited company still need to pay taxes? I just want to be armed with all of the facts before I do something wacky.

Dissolved companies have been struck off the companies register and no longer exist, so they do not have to pay any taxes or adhere to any filing requirements. However, you may need to pay a final tax bill and and file accounts and tax returns prior to dissolving your company.
