Can I continue to trade after my company has been dissolved?

An accountant pal of mine is saying I should dissolve my company. But I’ve still got some products to get rid of. So, will I be allowed to continue trading to sell these items even though my company has officially been dissolved?

No, you cannot trade through a limited company once it has been dissolved because the company will no longer exist.

If the company has surplus stock and assets that you want to get rid of, you should sell all of these items or distribute them to shareholders before you papply to have your company closed down](https://www.gov.uk/closing-a-limited-company), otherwise they will pass to the crown and you will have to restore the company to get them back.
