Can a non-UK company be the sole director of a limited UK company?

Hello, I own a Italian company, and I would like to set up a UK subsidiary in the form of a limited by shares company. Ideally, I would list our Italian company as the sole director of our new UK subsidiary. Is that allowed? Thanks

That’s a great question, actually, however, answer is no. You are allowed to name your current Italian company as a director of your UK subsidiary; however, every UK company needs a 'natural director' as well as the corporate director. That means, in addition to your Italian company being listed as a director, you must list at least one individual person.
