Does a company director need to sign a share certificate?

0

Hi,

My name is Thomas, and I am the shareholder and director of a limited company in London. Just trying to fill out a share certificate to issue one share to someone else, and was wondering whether I need to sign this as the company director? I do not have a secretary to sign it.

Thank you

Yes, as company director, you should sign the share certificate and keep it with all the company documents. It is enough to sign as a director only, as you have not been appointed as company secretary.
