Do companies limited by guarantee need to pay corporation tax?

0

Good morning, all! I’m trying to work out how taxes work for limited by guarantee companies, and I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction. As a non-profit limited by guarantee company, am I going to be liable for corporation tax? Or is this company structure exempt from corporation tax? Cheers

Yes, limited by guarantee companies must pay Corporation Tax on all taxable income, even if they are set up for non-profit purposes. This type of company is subject to exactly the same tax rules as profit-making companies limited by shares.
