Do I need to hire an accountant?

I’m getting together a new limited company. I think I’ve got everything together, but I don’t know whether I should hire an accountant for my company. A couple of questions, I guess. One: is it a legal requirement for a limited company to have an accountant? Two: legalities aside, is it recommended? Thanks

There is no legal requirement for your limited company to have an accountant, but it is commonplace to use one. Your bookkeeping and accounting requirements will be somewhat time consuming and complex, especially if you have never done anything like this before.

An accountant will be able to save you a huge amount of valuable time and suggest the best tax-efficient strategies to employ. You may actually save more money than you need to spend on their services, so it’s worth setting up a free consultation with a few accountants to get an idea of what they can do for you.
