Can someone else form an LLP on my behalf?

0

Heya

I’d like to incorporate an LLP as soon as possible, but I’m currently abroad. I’m wondering if somebody else can form an LLP for me, on my behalf, but still put it in my name. Can it be done?

Cheers

It is possible for someone else to register a limited liability partnership on your behalf if they have all of the necessary information, but remember: you need to have at least two people to be able to set up a partnership. Is it the other partner that will be setting up the LLP while you’re away?

If so, that is absolutely fine. They can enter your details on the online application and check the ‘consent to act’ box to confirm that you agree to the appointment - there is no need for you to sign the application in person.
