Does my LLP need a UK address?

Do you know whether I can register an LLP using a non-UK address? Or, do I need to have a UK address in order to register a UK LLP?

Yes, your LLP must have a registered office address (official correspondence address that is placed on public record) in the country in which it is incorporated. There are three jurisdiction in which you can register a UK LLP - England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

The registered office address is placed on public record and used by Companies House and HMRC for statutory mailing purposes, but you can have this mail forwarded to any UK or international address if you set up a registered office service.

You can also use a business address if you would like your general contact address to be outside of the LLP’s country of incorporation.
