Hello, I’ve been asked to get my hands on an apostilled document for our limited company. There’s just one little problem: I’ve got no scooby what an apostilled document is. Help me, please!!

An apostilled document is a document that has been ‘legalised’ for international use. This basically means that the official signature or stamp on the document has been authenticated by a Notary Public and approved for use in any country that is party to the Hague Convention.

Once a UK document has been legalised, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will issue and attach an apostille certificate. You will need to get your company documents legalised if you plan to do business in foreign country.
