Who needs to sign an apostilled document?

Hi, everybody

I am a non-UK resident who is also a director of a UK company. I am going to get apostilled documents drawn up to bring back to my home country that I am resident in. However, I am wondering who it is that needs to sign these apostilled documents. Are there any rules involved?

Kind regards

Legalised documents can only be signed by a practising UK solicitor or notary public. This certifies the authenticity of the document. An apostille certificate is then issued and attached to the authenticated document by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
