As a sole trader, will my details be made public?

I’m aware that when you register a limited company, a lot of your personal details are put on a public register that everyone has access to. By contrast, must a sole trader disclose personal details in the same way? Many thanks, H.

No, sole traders’ details are not made available to the public. Only limited company details are disclosed on public record. As a sole trader, the details you provide to HMRC will remain on an internal database for official use only.
