How do I keep my service address private?

I am looking to set up a limited by shares company as the sole shareholder and sole director. I’m getting prompted at the point of incorporation for a director’s service address. Is there any way to keep this address private, or does it absolutely need to go on the public register?

There is no way of keeping your service address private. You are legally required to provide Companies House with a service address to be displayed on public record.

If you are worried about maintaining your privacy, you can buy a professional service address for a small annual fee. This will allow you to register an alternate address for the public record. Your statutory mail will be delivered to that address and then forwarded to your home or office.
