Do I need to provide a director's service address at the time of incorporation?

I’m about to register a limited company online. I need to enter a director’s service address, I see. I’m not sure which address to use, though. Can I not apply for formation now, and then enter a director’s service address later?

You must provide a director’s service address during the company formation process, otherwise your application will not be approved by Companies House. The reason being that service address details are a matter of public record and they are used as the postal address for official director’s mail.

A home address is perfectly acceptable, but you can also use your trading or business address, your registered office address, the address of your accountant, or a professional address from a company formation agent. The choice is endless.
