Why would I use someone else's service address?

I see that it is possible to use another person or company’s director’s service address, as opposed to use my own address. Why would someone do such a thing? Are there lots of benefits, or how does it all work?

Hi Brendan,

Service address details are placed on public record so this information is available to everyone. For this reason, many director’s prefer to protect the privacy of their home by using someone else’s address. Additionally, using a non-residential address is a great way to boost your professional image.

Professional service addresses with mail forwarding are available from a number of company formation agents and address providers. You can find out more about this type of address service here.
