Can a director's service address be anywhere in the world?

0

Hello

My name is Lewis Griffin, and I am trying to incorporate a limited company in the UK. I am not a UK resident, I stay in Australia. As a company director, I understand that I need to include a service address for myself at the point of incorporation - but as a non-resident, is it okay to use a non-UK address?

Thanks a lot

Lewis

Hi Lewis,

That’s not a problem. Your service address does not have to be in the UK so you can use an Australian address if you like. Your chosen address will be placed on public record upon your appointment to the company.

If you would prefer to use a UK address, you do have the option of using a professional address service with international mail forwarding, but it’s entirely up to you.

All the best.
