Do all limited companies need a registered office address?

One of my old work colleagues incorporated a company last year, and has finally convinced me to follow in his footsteps. As part of that, he was telling me the benefits of getting a professional registered office address in London. ‘That’s just fine’, I think to myself. But what I would like to know is whether I need to get a registered office address at all. Is this a requirement for all limited companies?

In a word, yes! You must provide a registered office address to incorporate a limited company, and it has to be an address that is situated in the country where you set up your company.

You don’t need to use a professional registered office in London, but it would provide you with lots of great benefits - prestige, credibility, the image of an established and successful business image, and a local presence in the capital.

If you’re setting up a company in England or Wales, our London registered office service may be of interest to you.
