What’s the difference between a service address and a business address?

Morning - this might be a silly question, but can anybody actually tell me what the difference is between a director’s service address and a business address? Ideally, I’d like to use the same address for everything, but I don’t know what a service address or business address actually are. Cheers

A service address is the official contact address of a company director. It is a legal requirement of the appointment. This address is placed on public record and it serves as the delivery address for statutory mail from Companies House and HMRC

A business address is an optional contact address that a company or other type of business can use for non-statutory communications. It is not placed on public record. You can have more than one business address if you operate in more than one location or wish to create a business presence in multiple places.
