Can a Scottish business use an English registered office?

0

Hiya

I’m starting up a consultancy business in Bishopbriggs. To incorporate, I obviously need a registered office address, and I’d like to use a professional one in London. Is it allowed for a Scottish business to use an English office address?

Thanks

Hi Tony,

Sorry, it’s not possible for a Scottish company to have a registered office in England. Your company’s registered office must be situated in the country of incorporation.

However, if you’re really keen to have a London registered office, just choose ‘England and Wales’ as your preferred jurisdiction during the company formation process. It does not matter that you’re based in Scotland because you can trade anywhere you like. This might be a good option for you.
