Can a non-resident be a nominee officer?

Heya

I am an Australian resident, and a friend has asked me to be their nominee secretary for a limited UK company. I’m totally flattered, but being a non-UK resident, is that even allowed?

Cheers

Yes, that is permitted. You can be appointed as a nominee secretary of a UK company even if you do not live in the UK. Just be sure to find out as much as you can about the company before agreeing to act as a nominee.
