What is a SAIL address?

I’m curious about how I can store my business records once I get up and running, and it looks like one option is to get a SAIL address. What exactly is a SAIL address, and how do I use one? Thank you

Yes, a SAIL address is an option. It is basically an alternative to the registered office for storing statutory records and making them available to the public for inspection.

If you decide to use a Single Alternative Inspection Location (SAIL), you must choose an address in the same country as your registered office. It is a matter of public record so you must notify Companies House about the use of a SAIL address and tell them what statutory records you are keeping there.
