Are there any rules about where a SAIL address can be?

I’d like to use a SAIL address for my next limited company. Are there any rules about what sort of address I can use? I know Companies House can be quite picky with other addresses, so was wondering whether they were also a bit funny about SAIL addresses.

Yes. If you decide to use a SAIL address, it must be situated in the same country as your registered office. FOr example, if your company has a registered office in Scotland, your SAIL address must also be in Scotland.

You must also ensure that you use a physical postal address - i.e. an address that can be physically entered by the public. This means you cannot use a PO Box Number as a SAIL address.
