Can my trading address be anywhere in the UK?

I know there are rules about where you can have a registered office address for your company. Do the same rules apply for trading addresses? For example, could a Scottish company have a trading address in London? Thanks for your help!

Business can have one or more trading address anywhere in the UK or overseas, so there is no need to limit yourself to just one location in the country where your business is based. Trading addresses are not required by Companies House or disclosed on the public register of companies, so there are no restrictions like there are for registered offices.

It’s a good idea to have a trading address in the place where your main customer base is located, or in places where you would like to establish a presence or target a certain audience.

You can use any type of address as a trading address, including the place where you actually conduct business, your home address or registered office, a PO Box address or a professional mail forwarding address for a company formation agent or other address provider.
