Do I need to inform HMRC of my trading address?

Evening, I have just set up a limited company, and now I need to set things up with HMRC so that we can start trading. Do I need to tell them our trading address, too?

HMRC will have received your registered office address details from Companies House but you will be asked for a trading address when you are setting up business taxes like Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE. You can use the same address as your registered office, or you can use another address if more convenient.

Your trading address will not be disclosed on the public register, so you can use your home address as a trading address if you want. Alternatively, if you’d rather not use your home address for any business purposes, you can use a different address.
