How much does it cost to register a company directly through Companies House?

0

Good morning! I’m price-matching company formation packages - just super basic ones. It seems Formations Factory has one of the cheapest deals, but I am still interested in the price of forming directly through Companies House. I’m having trouble finding the cost on Google, though. Does anybody know it off the top of their head?

The cost of setting up a company online directly through Companies House is £15. Applications are completed on form IN01 and filed through the Web Incorporation Service. Most company formations are approved within 48 hours.

If you want to register a company using a paper application form, you will have to complete and post Companies House form IN01. It will cost £40 and your application will be approved within a few days.

As you can see, it is cheaper and quicker to use Formations Factory, and you can also register different types of companies online. The Web Incorporation Service from Companies House, on the other hand, only permits customers to register a private limited by shares company with Model articles - all other company types have to be registered by post.
