Can I transfer money internationally using a business bank account?

0

There is something I need help with. I have registered a UK company, but am wanting to outsource some of the IT work to the US. I will then need to be able to send money abroad, and need to know whether this can be done via most standard UK business bank accounts.

Thank you.

Yes, you can transfer funds internationally through you business bank account. If you are registered for internet banking, you should be able to do it that way, but you can also transfer money via telephone banking or by visiting a branch of the bank.

There is usually a fee to send money internationally - approx £20. You will be required to provide the recipient’s’ account name and number, the name of their bank, the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) and a reference for the payment. Certain other details may also be requested.
